This is Sony’s latest addition to the cyber shot family, the Cyber-Shot HX99 which is being touted as the world’s smallest travel high-zoom camera. As per Sonys other small cyber shot cameras, it features a ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* 24-720mm lens featuring their Optical SteadyShot image stabilization technology which is able to minimize camera shake and blur normally associated with telephoto shooting. The camera body houses a BIONZ X processing engine that can capture beautiful 4Kii video and high-frame rate HD video at 120fps.
If you enjoy shooting stills, this compact camera can acquire focus in 0.09 seconds and shoot continuously at 10fps to capture up to 155 shots. As you would expect it can shoot images in RAW format with a maximum ISO of 6400. The HX99 has a large 180-degree tiltable LCD screen, a pop-up electronic viewfinder, and Bluetooth functionality to record location data and allow for instant transfers to smartphones for quick sharing.
The latest cyber shot begins shipping in early November for those looking to add some special Christmas photos to their collection.
